Do you know what was my greatest fear all along? Well, I'm a little embarrassed to say, but I really was afraid that because of the constant lockdowns, I would not get to eat that delicious hot and nutritious meal we received every afternoon. And then I saw a familiar car, it was the car that brought us the food for the holidays.

I was so excited, I knew something good was about to happen. I couldn’t believe it would actually continue – every day at the same time, me and my entire family will receive the best meals ever, and the smell, mmm… I wish you could see it, wait a sec, you can! Here is a picture, Doesn’t it look delicious?! Hey, I think I see the car coming… I'll be in touch in my next letter.

Our Tu B’shvat Kit

The Rosh Hashanah of the trees caught us in lockdown number three. But don’t you worry, we don’t leave our flowers behind. Every child in our school received a bag filled with goods and a warm and empowering letter from their homeroom teacher.

But not only in Tu B’shvat. Throughout all our lockdowns and closures, we've been sending learning booklets and entertainment kits to each and every child in our institution. Their smiles make this all worthwhile!

Belonging Isn't Just a Code Word

These times of isolation after isolation, our families and children have lost the feeling of belonging. Therefore, we've decided to start a program that will bring us all together even when were miles apart.

Our new communication program is called the Shabbath Program. In this program, mothers, daughters, siblings, teachers and principal come all together in our special phone line and get ready for Shabbat. Songs are taught, empowering messages are sent, candles are prepared and recipes are shared – all to make our families come together in a holy and empowering atmosphere " לקראת שבת לכו ונלכה ".

Our Hot Meal Delivery Program

The Corona virus crisis has been here for over a year, but we, the charities, do not stop for a moment and continue to worry about children and families who face a state of helplessness and need help!

We run a kitchen at our institution. We cook a hot and nutritious lunch every day for families who have been isolated or their houses are not functioning. We also sent out hot meals for children whose mothers lost the ability to maintain their households and are in need of hot and nutritious meals, but there is no one to cook for them.

We have set up more deliveries and volunteers. They bring the hot meals to the houses of the children and sick or isolated families.

So, thank you for making this possible, without you, this would not be happening.

My Kind of Light

It's Hannukah time, I have missed the joy and light that ran through the corridors. Finally, I'm home where I feel that not only, I belong, but also loved and provided with all my basic needs and more, my little light isn’t so little anymore. Look, I even won in the menorah contest! Isn’t it pretty?

I Miss My Home…

Home is where your heart is. That is what they say, right?! Well, they are right!

It has been half a year without my home. Half a year of on and off lockdowns which prevents me from meeting my family, friends, warmth, and love that my school provided me.

So, they say that it will all be O.K. but meanwhile, I know what I'm missing and it doesn’t feel like fun to be a little mom to my siblings and a student from afar…

I really miss my home…

The strangest First of September

After a year full of challenges and obstacles we weren't sure how this year will open and if it even will. We know that our school isn’t just a place for learning but a home, a place where hearts come together and smiles rise from the hearts, so no matter how we know that our doing is the most important thing and we hope that we give these children a reason to smile in these strange and difficult times

A very special delivery

MOM, THEY'RE HERE, THEY CAME UNTIL US" the little girl screamed from the window. The city of Zefat is under lock-down and the families supported by our institution were sure that this year the food basket we give out will stay as a deserted memory and dream. We know just how much they wait for it and that we are their only source of meat for Chag so we rented delivery cars and went around the city, family family just for them to have .the pleasure of good meat for the holiday
